Hallo from DGM Netherlands! We are excited to highlight the outstanding work being done by our colleagues across the Atlantic, where safety, compliance, and expertise in handling dangerous goods (DG) are the driving forces of their success. At DGM Netherlands, the team operates with precision across two critical areas: Operations and Training.

The Netherlands branch in the Operations division is particularly effective at offering shippers who might not have the necessary permissions to carry hazardous materials specialist packing and documentation services. Because of their team's experience, every shipment is handled securely and in accordance with the stringent guidelines established by the Dutch Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and other regulatory agencies. In addition to ensuring compliance, this commitment gives shippers comfort in knowing their goods are in capable hands.

Regarding training, DGM Netherlands is a reliable partner for businesses wishing to increase their understanding and proficiency in DG management. They provide thorough training courses that are tailored to satisfy national and international regulations, giving participants the knowledge and credentials needed to handle, package, and transport hazardous goods in a safe manner.

DGM New York is proud to work alongside such a skilled and dedicated branch, sharing a common goal of keeping dangerous goods moving safely around the globe. Whether it’s operational support or ensuring that teams are properly trained, DGM Netherlands remains at the forefront of DG management in Europe. DGM plays a critical role in the handling of dangerous goods (DG) by providing essential packing supplies, labels, and instructions, alongside comprehensive training and operational support. Through their expertise and commitment to safety, DGM ensures that their clients have the resources they need to operate both safely and within legal regulations. Their services extend to consulting and offering support for DG Safety Advisors, making them an indispensable partner in the dangerous goods supply chain.

In the Netherlands, DGM is recognized for its commitment to high safety standards, holding a range of crucial licenses that are mandatory for companies involved in the handling of dangerous commodities. These licenses include:

  • A License: For shippers

  • B License: For forwarders

  • C License: For ground handling companies

  • D License: For third-party logistics (3PL) companies

  • E License: Specifically for companies like DGM

These licenses are not only vital but legally required, as it is prohibited to handle dangerous goods without them. The regional Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) rigorously enforces compliance, with violations leading to serious repercussions. A notable figure in DGM's history is Frank Pétillon, who played a pivotal role in the development of the E License. His efforts addressed the regulatory gaps that had previously caused difficulties within the industry, leading to the inclusion of the “E” in DGM’s logo

DGM's office in the Netherlands has become a benchmark for safety and compliance, particularly in the training and support they offer to shippers and forwarders. Their mission is clear: to ensure that every stakeholder in the dangerous goods supply chain adheres to safety standards and operates within the legal framework. Through their dedication to operational excellence, DGM continues to set the standard for safe and efficient handling of hazardous materials.
